This is great stuff and well designed!!! I highly recommend it.
My one issue with mounts is that many block the air-conditioning vent so I would love to see an option for a longer ball mount OR an option to extend the existing ball mount with add on sections.
I understand that vibration comes in to play the longer the mount is but vibration is not an issue with me.
I needed the extension to bring my iPhone Plus out enough from the dash where I could turn the phone towards me. I just wished I would’ve known I needed it before purchasing the rest of the mount. That would’ve saved me two separate orders and shipping fees. Course Motorsports makes quality equipment at a fair price with fast shipping! Highly recommended!
This is the oerfect addition needed for the 6th gen Camaro. Perfect placement
Installed the mount in an F-250 (2014) on the right side of the radio/display section to keep the phone out of the way of the shifter. This part made it easy to optimize the angle of the phone on the mount.
For the price i would have expected this thing to be a lot more stable, this thing bounces around like nobodies business. Id have given it 3 stars if it was cheaper but for the price, with a description like "direct fit" id have expected a more stable solid mount. Highly disappointed honestly.
Sorry to hear you feel this way about this product. Adding an extension will always add some extra vibratiion due to the spacing the weight of the phone and head option further away from the mouting point on the dash where the strength is. We provide extensions, not as a nessesity but for customers wanting more extreme viewing angles from what the Direct Fit product was designed for.
