My first device failed after 2+ years. My new one has addressed the issue I was having with previous one. Very nice upgrades.
The cradle I purchased for my Honda Accord had some delamination of the back pad from the plastic after a few months usage. It didn't affect operation, but didn't look good aesthetically. When I notified Course Motorsports, they promptly sent me a new one. Every product can have issues; how they are resolved is what's important to me. Course Motorsports cares about their customers. I highly recommend them.
I have the older version of this wireless charger and there are only 2 small LED indicators on it and its not distracting while driving at night. I hardly notice them and the charger works great. This new version has a LED ring around the perimeter of the charger which I'm not a fan of. Probably going to return this new version because of that
I’ve purchased this for my IPhone 14 and I have been using flawlessly for years, but when I upgraded to IPhone 17, it’s charges for 20 seconds and it will stop charging. I cannot figure it out to work with my IPhone 17, please advise. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. The charger you purchased is from over four years ago and that specific cradle has been discontinued for more than two years. It was built to the charging standards available at that time, but Apple’s newer iPhones now use updated Qi2 charging and power delivery protocols that didn’t exist when your unit was produced. It’s simply outdated by evolving electronic standards.
The comment on my review implies that if I use the provided 12v charger, the charger will not beep. This is not true. I am using the charger provided and everything is installed correctly. We all know why the beeps happen. The point is, it’s annoying and unnecessary. If you’re going to charge high quality prices, don’t cheapen it with beeps and flashes like a junk speaker from the dollar store. Not to mention not even the lack of addressing missing parts! Stop blaming the customers like I installed it incorrectly and just make your product less crappy the next generation.
'Generally' the product will not beep when powered via the included 12v adapter. The beep occurs when power is cut to remind you to remove the device from the cradle. If your particular vehicle does not have constant 12v to the 12v socket then yes, the product will beep to remind you. It is a feature to prevent customers from manually attempting to open the arms which will damage the product. There is no blame here. Our previous model did not beep, warrantee issues revolving around the arms or gear rack being damaged yeilded our gen 2 that you are reviewing.
