$100 seems a lot for a phone holder for a car. The magic in this kit is the small metal inexpensive adapter. Someone found the right screw hole in the right place and designed a metal piece that fits perfectly and does not interfere with any of the plastic interior. To me that is absolutely worth something. During installation I saw so much room behind the bezel. I tossed the cord that came with the kit and I used a 5-in flat USBC extender, connected it to the magnetic charger, and ran that through the bezel seamlessly. Then I connected a one foot USBC cable to the flat USBC adapter, then connected the other end to another 5 inch flat ribbon, then into the cigarette adapter compartment. I got a low profile cigarette adapter and plugged it in. Now you can't see any cables. The door to the cigarette lighter and ashtray is still closes. My phone is charging, and at a perfect position in the car for viewing. Couldn't be better.
The C5 isn’t the friendliest on space for things like a cell phone. With one marginally usable, cupholder, and really no where else to set stuff. This mount keeps your phone secured and out of the way without block the vents or radio. Easy to install, nothing to glue or drill.

Reasonably easy to install. Need to pull out the center radio/temp control console to install the mount.
I would buy again if needed.
This item puts my phone in my C5 exactly where I envisioned it to be. I thought I would have to fashion something myself to place it in this location but these guys already thought of it. Easy install, strong magnet and great functionality to position the phone in the desired angle.
