The relocation arm is well built and designed. It locks on firmly to both the mount and the MagSafe charging head. My primary critique of the arm is that there is only one size. I only need an arm half the length of the current arm to relocate my phone to the side as not to block the screen on my 2023 GMC Sierra HD. The unneeded length of the arm makes the mount bounce more than it would with a shorter arm. Overall the arm is solid and works well. Length options would make the arm optimal for multiple applications.
While technically it does what I wanted, move my phone up and over, my phone vibrates now. The original mount was rock solid. I would rather have a mount that uses the upper fastener location for my 2017 Dodge Durango application, but until then this is still the best mount I've ever had.
I have two of the custom phone mounts and they work great. I purchased the Ball Relocation Arm to move one of my phones. It's just too weak and doesn't keep the phone sturdy. I couldn't use it in my truck.
This piece of plastic serves the propose but wobbles around . Way over priced for this little plastic add on .

I wanted to provide a bit of context that may help explain what you’re seeing. When a phone (or any accessory) is mounted farther away from the Direct Fit bracket’s attachment point, the added distance creates a longer lever arm. As that lever arm increases, even small movements or vibrations from the vehicle can be amplified at the end of the mount. This can result in more noticeable vibration compared to a setup where the phone is mounted closer to the base.
The relocation arm is designed to give users more flexibility in positioning, but depending on phone size, weight, and how far the arm is extended, some increase in vibration can occur—especially on rough roads.
