I have purchased the Course Overland and Direct fit mounts for a 2024 Super Duty and a 2020 Super Duty. The direct fit mount was ROCK solid and very easy to install. It did not quite put my phone where I would prefer it so based on the ease of install and how solid it ended up, I chose to replace it with the overland mount because I liked the idea of the extra adjustability. I was a little concerned about the 3" arm that attaches to the overland mount, introducing a vibration point, but once it was all tightened up, it is simply rock solid. I hate when my phone vibrates in the mount... this was VERY important to me to have a solid result.
The install of the overland mount was significantly harder then the direct fit mount. Mainly because of how damn tight those clips were on my 2024. I broke a couple of them in the back drivers side, closest to the windshield, but luckily, I was able to find the two that fell off and I had enough plastic on the mount area of the clip to fix them for re-install. Also note, torque those nylocs pretty good, especially any that cross the ribbing of that plastic piece. They will become a bit loose as the plastic is impacted/smashed down. I had to re-torque a couple some, this could have been avoided if I simply uggga, boogaa'd them to being with.
FYI I have tried the ProClip and the ATach mounts for my truck as well (I started with those). Don't even bother, they both do not provide a firm enough mount. In a log wagon riding super duty truck, they both vibrated waaaay to much. The Course mounts are much better and well designed.
